Child Safety Standards
Our standards for protecting children across School Saathi. Last updated: August 2026
1. Zero tolerance
School Saathi is school-management software used by schools, teachers, parents and students. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. Content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, grooms or endangers a child is prohibited everywhere on the platform, will be removed immediately on discovery, and will be reported to the relevant authorities under Indian law, including the POCSO Act and the Information Technology Act. We cooperate fully with law enforcement.
2. How the platform is designed to protect children
- No open or anonymous chat. There is no stranger messaging and no anonymous chat anywhere. Student communication is limited to school-scoped, subject-channel doubts visible to the class teacher.
- School-administered accounts. Every account is created by the school office — children cannot be contacted by anyone outside their own school's staff and classes.
- Adult-run surfaces. Notices, photos and messages are published by school staff, not by children. Galleries and albums are curated by the school.
- No advertising. The apps carry no ads and no third-party ad or tracking SDKs.
3. Reporting a concern
- Teachers and school staff: use the in-app “Need help?” support button to raise a ticket, or report directly to your school administration.
- Parents and students: report to your school office, or reach us through the contact page — mark the message “Child safety” and it is prioritised ahead of all other queries.
- Reports are reviewed urgently. Offending content is removed, involved accounts are suspended pending review, and the school's management is informed.
4. Point of contact
Our designated child-safety point of contact can be reached through the contact page (mark the subject “Child safety”). This contact is responsible for receiving CSAE reports, acting on them, and notifying authorities where required.
5. Compliance
These standards apply to every School Saathi surface — the web portals, the School Saathi and School Saathi Teacher apps, and school-branded deployments. They are reviewed as the platform grows and as Google Play's child-safety requirements and Indian law evolve.
